ABOUT ME

Jeff Penny is a game audio specialist with a deep passion for interactive audio experiences. He strives to make every project one that will resonate with the player. Thanks to his love of storytelling through sound and attention to detail, he has had the immense fortune of working with many incredible teams, both through audio and game development.

As a freelance game audio professional, Jeff has contributed work to many incredible projects such as the large scale games Just Cause 4, and Second Extinction, as well as to smaller, independent productions such as Trek to Yomi, The Game of Fourtune, and Heart Fragment. He has also contributed audio to many films, documentaries, advertisements, interactive installations and more. No matter the project, he sets out to create a memorable experience that will deepen the emotional connection and experience of the audience.

In addition to working in the field, Jeff is also an educator. He has taught game audio as an adjunct professor and instructor at Berklee Online, Long Island University, and Quinnipiac University, as well as independently to private students. In addition, he ran masterclasses as an instructor for Playcrafting, and given lectures on the subject for many groups such as VGM Con, New York City Game Audio, New York City Unity Users Group and Long Island Game Developers.

Jeff also loves arranging, recording and producing covers of some of his favorite music, ranging in numerous genres and styles. Over the years, his arrangements have received honors such as a Game Audio Network Guild Award, being selected for Videri String Quartet’s Quarentets competition, and Jason Graves’ Home to Me Remix competition.
